TrustSMART — Sustainable Biometric Smart Card Solution for Access Control Systems

TrustSEC Sp. z o.o. is implementing a project under the partnership Innovative SMEs (Eurostars-3 Call 7) titled: “ Sustainable Biometric Smart Card Solution for Access Control Systems ” ( Acronym: TrustSMART )

TrustSMART — Sustainable Biometric Smart Card Solution for Access Control Systems

TrustSmart

Project goal: The project aims to design and develop an innovative, eco-friendly biometric smart card — TrustSMART — dedicated for use in modern access control systems. The key innovation lies in the use of a battery-free power source , based on the newly developed S-Power and S-Energy components, which are non-lithium and environmentally sustainable.

The project will be implemented in partnership between: • Ligna Energy AB – responsible for developing the power supply components. • TrustSEC Sp. z o.o. – responsible for designing and implementing an advanced Bio-SLCOS operating system with on-card biometric data authentication ( Match-on-Card ).

This solution will reduce the risk of unauthorized data and access breaches, increasing the overall security level of identification systems.

Expected outcomes: • Prototype of the TrustSMART biometric smart card with a self-sustaining renewable power source. • Customized energy components optimized for card applications. • Enhanced version of the Bio-SLCOS operating system. • Functional and environmental testing (LCA) in real-world conditions. • Protection of project results through intellectual property rights.

The result will be a new technological solution addressing growing market demands for sustainability and data security.

Beneficiary: TrustSEC Sp. z o.o. Contract number: InnovativeSMEs/8/86/TrustSMART/2025 Project: TrustSMART – Sustainable Biometric Smart Card Solution for Access Control Systems Project costs: 3,307,581.04 PLN EU co-financing: 1,488,411.47 PLN Implementation period: 01.07.2025 – 30.06.2027

Eurostars is part of the European Partnership on Innovative SMEs. The partnership is co-funded by the European Union through Horizon Europe.

TrustSEC Sp. z o.o. realizuje projekt w ramach partnerstwa Innovative SMEs (Eurostars-3 Call 7) pn. „ Zrównoważone biometryczne rozwiązanie kart inteligentnych do zastosowań w systemach kontroli dostępu ” ( Akronim: TrustSMART )

• TrustSEC Sp. z o.o. – opracuje i wdroży zaawansowany system operacyjny Bio-SLCOS z funkcją biometrycznego uwierzytelniania danych na karcie ( Match-on-Card ).

Rozwiązanie to ograniczy ryzyko nieautoryzowanego dostępu do danych i pomieszczeń oraz zwiększy poziom bezpieczeństwa w systemach identyfikacji.

W ramach projektu powstaną: • Prototyp karty TrustSMART z własnym odnawialnym źródłem zasilania. • Dostosowane komponenty energetyczne. • Zmodernizowana wersja systemu Bio-SLCOS. • Testy funkcjonalne i środowiskowe (LCA) w warunkach rzeczywistych. • Zabezpieczenie wyników projektu w formie praw własności intelektualnej.
